January 29, 2008 / The U-Choose Network will be holding the first in a series of Webinars on February 27th at 1:00 PM CST. This free Webinar is designed to educate advertisers and agencies on the use of the U-Choose Network. Attendees will receive step-by-step instructions on the operation of the UCN Portal. In addition to the online chat session, attendees may also register for a teleconference after the Webinar. At the conclusion of the Webinar, attendees will have the opportunity to register in the U-Choose Network for free. Space is limited, so register today. Register for Webinar Here The U-Choose Network, an on-line portal that links advertisers with digital signs nationwide, anticipates the public release of UCN content at the end of March 2008. UCN is currently working with numerous digital sign manufacturers for national distribution of UCN content. Until March 1, 2008, the UCN will be waiving processing fees for advertisers who would like to place their content on the UCN, as well as for owners of digital signs who would like to increase their revenue by downloading content off the UCN.The UCN advantage for advertisers is that they choose where and when they would like their content displayed, and at what types of locations they would like their content displayed. Then they determine how much they are willing to pay and set a maximum budget. Ad placement on the UCN is free; advertisers pay only for the locations that download their ads. You Choose Who / When you log in to The UCN, you will see a complete listing of the advertisers who want to be displayed in your location. The ads can be sorted according to your wishes. You can sort by type, vendor, or "Best Value". You choose the content that is most desirable to you. You Choose How Many / There are no requirements on the number of ads you must choose. You can fill your entire schedule with UCN content, choose filler after loading your own content, or choose nothing if there is nothing you want. You Choose How Much $ / The more ads you choose, the more money you make. Switching to UCN / Switching to UCN is inexpensive and easy. The only hardware needed is the Net Appliance. There is no new software to download! Once you have the adapter, you will be given access to the IMS online control panel which is where you will control the content on your signs, and have access to UCN. In most applications, you will not need to replace the most expensive component of your infrastructure -- the displays. The Net Appliance takes the place of other digital sign appliances or players. How do advertisers know about my location? / When you sign up for UCN you will be required to complete a site evaluation form. The information on this form will provide the statistical data of your location to the advertisers. UCN also collects all of the relevant demographic data for your surrounding area. UCN staff both in-house and in the field, will verify all of the reported data through comparative analysis, and site visits to ensure accuracy. Are there any access fees? / UCN is a free service included in the IMS Control Panel application on the Net Appliance. Access to the IMS system has a monthly charge of $24.95 or less for multiple access customers. This fee can be automatically deducted from your UCN account as long as you are using content from the UCN. What if I decide I do not like using UCN? / Stop using it! Access to UCN costs nothing and there are no penalties for not choosing content. If you change your mind in the future, simply begin choosing content again. What if I change my mind about an Ad? / If you truly need to remove an ad from your displays, you can contact UCN to have it removed, but you will be paid only for the actual display time.
